Still don't think they are going for that much, I got a B/S Demo of Isley Brothers-This old heart...... in VG+ condition for £8. That might have been cheap, but seen quite a few a reasonabe prices. It seems that it is still the G/W and R/W demos that are more sought after.

Doesn't it make you think that there may be a bit of Shill bidding going on sometimes when you see these cheap records selling at ridiculous prices? There's a couple I've seen lately and thought that something isn't right, like the Sheila Anthony - Livin in love on Route up to £67.50 with 4 days to go that's on there now. There are so many markings of Boots or originals here it's getting hard to follow. Can we get a difinitive list of what is what i.e. What markings to look for in a boot and what to look for in an orig'? So that anyone looking at this thread in the future won't have to ask again as I did. Is there anyone who could do that please?

Yes It is styrene I think, and I think it is a boot from what you say. Plays well though, good, loud and clear.

I have read all the points above, but still cannot come to the conclusion whether I have a boot or an orig of this? Some of the above points don't comply to my copy. There is a scan attached, and the runout lettering are as follows: 45-6379 65C-9290-REPL A tiny' NR or MR A triangle and 95372 There is no dropping of needles at the start, and this was bought from someone who wasn't sure themselves. Sorry for dragging up an old thread. Just thinking about it the 'REPL' might be a bit suss?? also has the 'MR' stamp so most likely a boot.

Yes thank you Andy. I was in touch with Elaine, Matthew and Ian dewhirst today (Sunday) and it was a mistake on the organisers part. Apparently the Central was mentioned in passing when someone suggested the HiFi club, and them not knowing any better, thought that the Central would be on the night of filming. It has all been put to rights now and they have apologised for the mix up, and have changed the listing to 'Hifi soul' instead of the 'Leeds Central' which is not until the 19th October. I will be there for the filming and it has been suggested that I do a DJ set too, hopefully that will happen.

All a good flyer needs is: Where (which town/City) it's taking place in larger letters for the not so well sighted and in dark rooms/clubs. The address and postcode of the venue The DJs and what style of music will be played An eye catching design so it stands out from the other flyers it's going to get put next to. Times of the event and event rules i.e age limits etc. In other words as much info as possible without writing a manuscript.
