I have found after 12 years of buying and selling on eBay, that if you are suspicious about something, you should ring eBay directly and report it. Unless they know about such goings on, they can't do anything about it, and if you make them aware, they act swiftly to sort it out. I would def report it, and even if it isn't a shill bidder, no harm done.

I'm watching to see if it gets relisted now, cos I wrote to the guy joking about the price it had reached and this is the reply I got, smells fishy to me. My question - Is the Sheila Anthony gold plated? LOL, They've gone mental :-) Reply - Yes - a bit odd! But I imagine I'll be re-listing it soon - the winner is unlikely to pay for the record at this price...

RIP that man. A very sad occurence and I believe has never happened before to my knowledge. I also believe from what I have heard that Dean Parrish was playing at the time, not sure what track but not a bad last thing to hear in my opinion. Bless his Soul.

Still don't think they are going for that much, I got a B/S Demo of Isley Brothers-This old heart...... in VG+ condition for £8. That might have been cheap, but seen quite a few a reasonabe prices. It seems that it is still the G/W and R/W demos that are more sought after.

Doesn't it make you think that there may be a bit of Shill bidding going on sometimes when you see these cheap records selling at ridiculous prices? There are so many markings of Boots or originals here it's getting hard to follow. Can we get a difinitive list of what is what i.e. What markings to look for in a boot and what to look for in an orig'? So that anyone looking at this thread in the future won't have to ask again as I did. Is there anyone who could do that please?

Yes It is styrene I think, and I think it is a boot from what you say. Plays well though, good, loud and clear.

I have read all the points above, but still cannot come to the conclusion whether I have a boot or an orig of this? Some of the above points don't comply to my copy. There is a scan attached, and the runout lettering are as follows: 45-6379 65C-9290-REPL A tiny' NR or MR A triangle and 95372 There is no dropping of needles at the start, and this was bought from someone who wasn't sure themselves. Sorry for dragging up an old thread. Just thinking about it the 'REPL' might be a bit suss?? also has the 'MR' stamp so most likely a boot.
