  3. Thanks mate, thats the one, pressume it never reached a 45 release then?
  4. Ok i`ll answer my own question then, seeing how ive done some digging, and according to Soulful detroit website, the wrong tapes were sent to the british studio`s for the velvettes track on Motown chartbusters 6
  5. Can`t find a clip, but whats the story behind the alternative take to These things, i have it on a motown lp, was it released on any other format?

  11. Good point paul,
  12. Intresting Paul, as some of those early ones nearly charted if i remember rightly, not questioning the ethics. Just if you were a true brithish collector wouldn`t these become a part of your collection?
  13. Wasn`t on about playing them out Chalky, was just asking if they are considered as British originals in there own right, surely a bootlegg is an illegal item, where no royalties have been paid or license applied for? The original grapevine series is now thirty odd years old, and so is Casino classics, disco demand etc.
  14. Have read all the threads in the past. Can i throw this one at you. Are labels such as Disco demand, grapevine, Destiny, Inferno, Kent, etc classed as British releases as with Stateside etc
  15. Ive got White xmas, and Fantstic plastic flying machine, not really a trendy name for soul singers

  20. Harry Crosby replied to Tai-pan's post in a topic in Record Sales
Suppose its the old question, how do you price a record.Personally i go on what ive seen and ive seen far more copies of things like Frank beverley, Al williams etc than ive seen of this one, and those previously mentioned are still commanding the best part of £2k so with that as a comparison i would say this is well worth £2k. Think ive only seen one other for sale. Of course this is only my opinion
  21. Strange this i can`t remember it at W/C allways associated it with Rotherham clifton hall, not questioning its playing at W/C just reminds me of Clifton hall
  22. Been sorting out a few things today, think this one might fit into todays funky edged thang BOB SMITH-WHAT DO IT MEAN
