One of my mates had his bag nicked on the way down the hill from the station, the funniest one was BILLY from york [rip] used to get p*ssed on the way down on the train, when we got off he just wandered off, anyway about 4 o`clock he rolls into mr m`s, he`d got lost, and somehow managed to get into a parked car on the side of the street and fall asleep, then some poor guy, gets in his car, and billy sits up in the back WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU DOING says the guy, BILLY JUST GETTING ME HEAD DOWN CHIEF

was a member myself in 77, still see a few of the old lads now & then was out with tom petch a few months ago top lad

apologies read it wrong DOH! have edited it off, remember the running battles with the punks myself, got caught up in the middle of one in the alley at the side, also the lads from york scooter club organised a rally from york to a mod night got all the way there and couldn`t get in with parkas on

Have seen records with razor blades fixed to the flip in order to hold in place

Its a awkward situation for dj`s especially if youve got people travelling to your event from other regions, trying to satisfy a crowd with what you may think are records that are not hammered to death in your area to find they are in other regions, you may think your re-activating something, but its been played out in other areas, agree with you on the ruby andrews though

your probably right, think thats why theres so many different opinions on here at times

Over the past year ive read a lot of comments on, SAME OLD SAME OLD, OVERPLAYED, SAME 100 OLDIES, personally i think this is a regional thing, as ive seen posts saying "so refreshing to hear this again etc" and thought hold on thats hammered to death, so wich records would you consider, to be overplayed? just an idea lets see how regional this is, ALL THE VERY BEST HARRY
