I went to Amazon and listened to samples of his new CD. They are all Motown tracks, and each one is as dreadful as the other. My wife watches The Ellen Show and wanted my reaction to this. The good? Delta Goodrem has a really nice voice? The bad? Any song with Michael Bolton. The guy has absolutely no vocal range whatsoever. Your thoughts on a postcard, please. I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to Motown/Tamla/Gordy/Soul 45s. Even if I have a M- copy and I find a nice demo copy, I'll always buy it (as they are usually cheap and oftentimes mint in the States). Cheers, Tim

Chris, I would say it depends on whether you can live with keeping those records in those conditions. If so, I would go for a reduction. If not, I would get a refund from the seller and request to return them and file a claim with PayPal if they don't respond. What were the conditions of the eBay sales, no refunds or ? Cheers, Tim

Hi Everyone, I'll be coming through the SE part of the States this week and am going to be very close to Macon and Muscle Shoals (within 40 miles of Muscle Shoals and 50-60 miles of Macon). From a soul standpoint, I suspect these are worth a stop! For Macon so far: -Otis Redding statue -Otis Redding bridge -Drive by theater where Otis Redding discovered Anything else? For Muscle Shoals: -Other than driving by FAME and any other studios, anything else a good stop? Any good record stores in either town for 45s? Cheers!

@Bri Pinch, I would have thought the blue label was a later pressing. Can the blue label still be considered an original? I'm pretty excited about the demo! Cheers.

Hi everyone, I just picked up a promo on Philips yesterday (but need to clean/grade it, but it will be on offer after) and also have a stock copy the same as the black label that's more blue. Is the promo fairly rare compared to the stocker? I always find the black label if I find it. Is the bluish 60s label a reissue? Cheers!

I know a guy in our area that sells records at record shows who prices every record he puts out according to the Goldmine price guide, regardless of condition, then takes 50% off of that price. How generous! I know several record dealers in my area that price everything they sell based on the Goldmine guide.

I thought Justin's performance was much better than I anticipated!

@DaveD, I bought it last week. It's excellent. You Put The Flame On It is the standout track, however.

@Big Gordy, what dimensions are those clear plastic boxes you've got the 45s in? There are lots of great options for storing LPs, but I'd love to see someone come up with a 45 storage system with wheels on it where I could put a whole 150-count box in. Problem is, it'd be pretty heavy.

Not soul, but I bought 50,000 45s in 2008 for $8,700 all in including shipping and all travel expenses and sold one 1953 Sun blues 45 for $10,323. Result!

I would like to sell the entire grouping. Since it is from a jukebox route, there will be multiples of some titles.

Hello, I purchased a massive collection of 45s from a New Orleans jukebox route in 2008 and will be finished sorting thru it this month/early April. There are 13,000 45s so far, and will be some more as I sort through the rest and should be over 15,000 or more by then. I have sorted out reissue/budget reissue 45s. I have also sub sorted records that are more valuable, and they would be included. Condition varies, but there are new old stock 45s. Good mix of 60s/70s, with some 80s. I host a record fair in the States and get many calls a year with people wanting to sell collections. Some amazing, some crap. There are a lot of good records out there, but there are a lot of easy listening, big band and other stuff people have that are amazed when you tell them they're only worth donating. I'm sure there are people out there that say vinyl is making a comeback and that they think they're sitting on a goldmine. Good luck to them. I'm not sure if it's this way in the UK/Europe/elsewhere, but for years and years, 50s rock doesn't sell. I don't touch it. There are a few pockets of places where there is a demand, but not much.
