  1. That's you tube for you- even though the label shown is for "Without A Word". the video does play "There's Nothing Else To Say".
  2. Great flip side ("Another Dirty Deal") too !
  3. I've seen a flyer showing George McCrae appearing in April, 1975.
  4. Don't feel bad- I'm from an English speaking country and have no idea what the lyrics are about !
  5. Thanks to everyone who participated in this. Still can't understand why someone would take a perfectly good vocal and do that to it.
  6. I was told about a remix of Marvin Gaye "If This World Were Mine". I don't think this is Marvin. My questions are- 1) Do you think this sounds like Marvin? 2) Do you know who this really is?
  7. The first version of this song was by Tom Jones. It was originally written for Sandie Shaw who turned it down.
  8. Motown mostly used red vinyl for their promo releases. There were some yellow and blue vinyl promos in the 70's. I don't think I've ever seen purple vinyl for a Motown release, have seen it on Okeh though.
  9. I've never heard the record played on the radio or tv. In fact, the only time I heard it played out was at one of Soul Trip U.S.A. events. It's probably only known to Motown collectors and among record collectors.
  10. I plan on buying the record. I'm not a Hipster don't have a big trendy beard , flat as pancake "kung fu" shoes or skinny denim jeans. There are people who live in the U.S. who collect and love Soul music. Think we all need to calm down !
  11. It was recorded in L.A. and released by a company based in Detroit. When they said "Stay in Detroit" , I'm guessing they mean as opposed to the other copies which now reside in Europe.
  12. Another great track from Doris ...
  13. Fine album only track. Just edges out the Four Tops version for me.
  14. That was a shock! I would have never guessed that song would be on Philly Int'l or TSOP. "The Big Hurt" is also the flip side to "Do It Any Way You Wanna" in the U.S.
  15. Don't think this one was mentioned yet ...
  16. I'm guessing this is basically the same group as the Brockington Singers on TSOP ?
  17. I know this isn't on Philly Int'l but, it could easily pass as a 3 Degrees song.
  18. Almost forgot how good this is! Superb re-interpretation of Elton's classic... lassic...
  19. Print ad for the Classic 45.... Sorry this print is so big!
  20. One more for the playlist ....
  21. One more from the O'Jays ...
