Just liked to mention & thank you & Maz for looking after the door now we are having to use wristbands because of the ever increasing numbers coming to our new venue in which everyone seems to love. Special thanks to you Lynn as it was obvious you were struggling with your illness but you saw the night out like a trooper with your usual welcoming smile. Link to review

Last night's Ibstock Motown special with some Northern thrown in : no longer a great "little" soul club, now competing ably with the "big boys". Since its move to the larger Ibstock Central venue to is going from strength to strength, numbers doubling easily and lots of new faces which is always a good sign Richard always packs the dance floor with his classics and last night was no exception, some underplayed Motown tunes getting a spin, hats off Sir Sean T,in his own unique style also had the crowd up and dancing to his mix of Motown and some of his beloved SKA tunes thrown in to please the crowd. He is such a popular local lad to the club who never forgets his roots Mick Andrew Reynolds was last nights guest DJ, bringing along with him the lovely Wendy, he has fitted in nicely with the Ibstock crowd: also kept the dance floor busy, well done And finally my words for my dearest hubby, Mr Gray : WOW WOW WOW, played some wonderful treats as always just for me. Motown at its finest. Kicking off with tracks like The Andantes Its a funny way, Connie Van Dyke Oh Freddy and much more .... Yes, slightly biased but truthful none the less. My rare soulman always delivers whatever the scene asks for. In conclusion, Ibstock delivers the finest of tunes along with all the classics, something for everyone. If you haven't tried it, time to give it a go Lynn xx Link to review
