Icons Of Northern Soul Harrogate Vinyl Sessions

Harrogate Vinyl Sessions (HVS) meets once a month to showcase an LP classic, by playing the original release and with a talk about the artist and tracks. This month HVS have given the stage to local DJ and collector Ian Smith who is presenting "Icons of Northern Soul". Ian will be playing 18 original releases from his collection and giving a talk about the records, the artists and the music in general. Admission is free but there is a suggested donation to the Friends of Harrogate Hospital's Retcam (Saving baby's sight) appeal. The 18 records to be featured will not be announced in advance but there will be a mixture of male and female artists, the familiar and not so familiar, and up tempo and ballads. The talk starts at 7 30 and will last until around 9.30 - 10.00. (This will be more of a foot tapping rather than fully blown dancing event!) It is recomended that places are reserved in advance and by using the Eventbrite link on the Harrogate Vinyl Sessions Website. https://vinylsessions.org
