It’s the feeling that gets to you, according to the great Shirley Ellis. We couldn’t agree more. What better way to bring the curtain down on summer than a night of salacious soul sounds at South London’s hottest soul joint?!

That’s right, soul brothers and soul sisters – the HOUSE OF BAMBOO is back at West Norwood’s famous Portico Gallery on September 2nd.

This is the fourth installment of our blockbuster run of northern soul, Tamla Motown, 70s grooves and RnB and guess what? You’re all invited!

We spin the vinyl from 7pm and go til midnight. Come and have a dance on our fantastic pre-talced dance floor for just £5. Our iconic venue is well-stocked with beverages of the alcoholic kind to see you through the night.

It has been an incredible first three nights. The raw energy, passion and enthusiasm from our tireless punters is what makes the night. If you’ve been, you know. If you’re a first timer, you’ll never look back.

We are delighted to confirm our guest DJs on the night will be the excellent local artist MARTIN GROVER and the up-and-coming dancing extraordinaire JACOB FLACK.
