About The Event

Soul Scorcher host a Charity night of northern soul, Motown, reggae and mod at the Severn View Club in Caldicot.  (At least) 3 DJs - Jon Russ and Sam Bradshaw and upwards of 1 guest (tab) spinning the best in 60s and 70s soul and reggae all on vinyl.  Kick of at 7.30pm with music playing to just after midnight.  Lovely venue with a very friendly crowd.  We had 120 people for our November night...which was nice.

Tickets are £5 each with all proceeds going to the Cwmbran based cancer charity Remission Possible.  Tickets will be available soon either from the Severn View Club or by ringing Jon Russ on 07748 596800.

This is the event that was postponed on the 3rd March due to inclement weather.  All tickets from the 3rd March are transferable.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - PLEASE READ 

As we all probably know by now, the weather for the next few days is expected to be appalling. Sam and I will endeavour to make this night happen but will be guided by the weather. I am only too aware that a number of you are due to travel on Saturday from places as far flung as Swansea, Barry, Cwmbran, Newport and Bristol. I know you're all sensible people and would only take calculated risks however, if there's any risk associated with your journey, we won't think any less of you if you stay at home. 

We will defer making a final decision about hosting on Saturday. As I said, we will do everything in our powers to get this on. If we can't, then we'll let you all know about refunds or an alternative date for which existing tickets will be valid.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE (PART 2) - PLEASE READ TO THE END
 
It is with the deepest regret that we have decided to postpone this Saturday's charity night. We are currently working with the club to identify an alternative date when we can put on this night - the tickets that you have already bought will still be valid for that night HOWEVER, if you can't make it, please go back to the person who sold you the ticket for a full refund.
 
Now, there may be a small crumb of comfort for those people who may be mad enough to want to venture out on Saturday. Sam and I are willing to put on a smaller free event at the Club for people who are able to get there - same music policy. The Club are up for that too. If people are up for that, we'll do it. If not, no worries.
 
We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience and/or disappointment this may cause. We were really looking forward to this and were guaranteed our biggest crowd to date. Nature can be such a sod!
