About The Event

Chelmsford City Soul present a monthly free entry Over 30s event in the stylish, sophisticated Barista Bar, Duke Street Chelmsford
 
Our DJ's our John Peters (Cruise FM and SoulBeat Radio) and John Douglas (SoulBeat Radio); have extensive experience, including pirate radio, internet radio and a variety of soul weekenders, and soul nights across Essex, including the Embassy Soul Nights, Roberts Colchester; Bless The Funk Weekender and other soul events too many to mention.
 
Our event was set up to allow them to give something back to the people who have supported and listened to them over the years, which is why our event is free entry.  Our musical genre is essentially soul, funk and jazz funk, we play the music people want to hear, sing and dance to in a wonderful informal setting.
