We had to miss last year due to health problems but really looking forward to coming back to jersey this year thanks to fitzi and Christine for holding my dj spots open for me I really appreciate it and hopefully can deliver for them the weekend covers all base's from 50s RnB to year 2024 modern sounds with everything else inbetween a little bit for everyone in as got to be one of the best hotels on the island the mayfair was good but the mertons facilities and food is another level take care everyone and hopefully see you all on the love island Jersey

When you are booking this event this year we are using a different payment system, we are no longer using pay-pal as they are charging to much commission, we are now using Sumup and you are only changed £1.90 for every £100 paid (a great saving) all good.

At last Easy Jet have got there November flights on line.

Liverpool there flights are on Friday / Sunday / Monday so if you want the 3 night deal you are ok (last year later in the year there put more flights on)

Manchester have flights Thursday / Friday / Saturday/ Sunday / Tuesday so you can have the 4 night deal with an extra on Monday leaving Tuesday 

Luton have flights Wenesday / Thurday / Friday / Saturday / Sunday / Monday  (you can come a day early and book Wenesday)

Having been in the soul scene for over 45 years there is very little that surprises me nowadays. I've been to many venues up and down the country both large and small but no idea how I've missed 'Jersey Soul' as I understand it's been running for 14 years! My arm was 'twisted' to go with a team effort from my wife Janice Jackson and soul mate Tony Hall!

We kept our cool as Storm Ciaran approached and did it's worst along the south coast and of course especially Jersey. We arrived a day late on Friday.

What then transpired, was one of the best weekenders I have attended - we just couldn't fault it, the hotel staff were truly amazing, we all need a few months to lose the weight we put on with the fabulous food, the music was a perfect mix of well known and some lesser played classics, the dance floor and sound system was perfect and quite simply the friendliest bunch of Soulies you could want to meet.

The weather was a complete 'one off' to hit at precisely the time most people were due to travel and just cannot stop this event going ahead for next year - our 'small gang' is poised ready to book again, and we will be encouraging other friends who missed it to attend as well.

Two of my greatest passions in life are soul music and photography. I manged to combine the two with a couple of hours near the lido and the afternoon round island coach trip. The aftermath of Storm Ciaran provided the dramatic skies!

Our first trip to Jersey - we will be back!
