Eddy Hughes in mint will cost you about 1000 UKP at least....Edwin Starr is a tricky one, bought one off ebay (mint!) for 180 USD a couple of months ago, JM had one finishing around 350 lately...

Seriously, recession or not recession, I doubt you will get a Eddy Hughes in mint minus for under a grand.

sam dees 300 .... i dont think so . i paid 500 ,2 or 3 months ago , manship sold one for five and i was offerd one more at five at the same time , prices change all the time suply and demand . no bugger would suply me with one for under five lol

I paid £280 for a minter (Sam Dees) a few months back !!!

I bought the SOS off JM a few years back (the one pictured in his ROTR) for about £180/185 i think

yeah well didant you do well , as i know both the other lads couldent get one .and i know both would have given 350 easy but it wasant enough , manships auction prices for that week are listed on this site may be 2 or 3 months ago not sure , the other bloke offering one at five was a bloke in preston , i can pm you his name on here if you like ? , as i said if you got a minter for that price mate two months ago in my opinion you did very well , i can only go off my own experiance and the two others i know , but good luck to you anyway regards paul

I sold a Scotts On Swingers last year for 375. near mint.

A record, like anything else is always worth what someone will pay for it and that can change all the time.

With records that come up for sale rarely it is obviously even hard to be exact. IMHO:thumbsup:

Suppose it was cheap cos he had 2 copies, both mint unplayed too !!!

Today i bought a long time want thats booked at £400+ for an LP that cost me £2 & £120, swings & roundabouts, if i could have found a copy maybe 2 months ago i maybe would have paid £400+ for it

i think a few years ago you`d be right at a grand for eddy hughes but i think its gone off the boil a bit athough jm could get £1000 for anything. best version tho. think the don hysong version is a bit dodgy myself. ref sam dees fantastic tune as it is i cant get past giving andy dyson £30 for it some years ago.

yeah, paid 60 for it and sold it at 600 UKP on ebay maybe eight years ago...found a replacement copy on ebay the very same minute as buy it now for 100 USD....

so you are right in a way, its all so reative....
