The other night I wrote some stupid flippant remark (s) whilst very drunk. I was that drunk I can't remember which part of the forum I wrote it in.

I didn't mean it and it wasn't aimed at anyone.

I APOLOGISE WHOLE HEARTEDLY and sincerely hope I didn't upset anyone.

I feel quite guilty and ashamed.

I seem to remember you playing the turntable mat at the L'Ambasseduer Now, were you drunk or was there the influence of something else involved??

Swish mate,I post at times without thinking about peoples feelings and perceptions.People have got different memories,recollections,and ideas about how things were and are,and if you have an opinion then there willl always be some one with a diametrically opposite one.I for one cannot stand the"norvern started in wigan"and the associated baggage (no pun intended) crowd.Yes it may have done for them,but I still think that nostalgia ain't what it used to be----------rose tinted specs------------my arse.

Definitely right about rose tinted glasses Stevie proudlove - wasn't all it was cracked up to be at wigan - far better when we were young and didn't have the influences and the pretention of being out to impress - just the music, the friends, the bombers, the job that paid £8.50 a week if we were lucky - and how we loved it!!

That night I had been sold some wierd tablets that were halucigons.

They were white and round and had stamped on them LEDERLE 4436.

To this day I don't know what those tablets were.

YOU called me a twat the other day Swish we ought to tell some stories Swish...what about the day the Boro lads went to Yarmouth on a Bank Holiday and dumped their gear in a waste bin because they though the DS were following them? or the lass and the thumb???

LERERLE refers to the pharmacutical company and 4436 is their name for ARTANE (trihexyphenidyl HCl) a drug produced to stop muscle spasms.

my own daughter (whos 19) was so horrified once that she came on to "rescue our family honour , for gods sake mum ! ". was quite proud of her , though bit ashamed in a way. id been drinking too

love reading your posts swish im sure they make up 1000 times over for whatever it was you said when youd had a few .

ps my daughter is going to come to a soul night with me and review it from a young uns perspective on here . should be good because she IS a straight talker
