The Canadian releases i've seen are black with silver text.

the two i got are the normal/ common light blue+orange with black writing

it happens to be- love comes in all colours by the staple singers wich is apt as you got to love it what ever label its on.

will look out for canadian ones.

The UK version of this design has the normal light blue and also a less common deeper blue - I have a couple of Otis' 45's in this deeper colour. Mike

...As far as singles go, there are three US variations:

Light blue with black text

Grey with black text (used on some numbers between 107 and 140)

White with black text (demos!)

However...

There are many more colour variations of you take into account overseas pressings and specifically Jamaican ones. From there I have

White with red text

Maroon with sliver text

Yellow with green text

Royal blue with silver text

...and that's just off the top of my head.

In Jamaica they were still using the 'blue' design well into the 'fingerclicking' era, and every post-69 Ja Stax 45 that I've ever picked up seems to have a different colour combination!

The juke box EPs were issued on the yellow label as well.

Mine's on the regular, paler blue and that's definitely an original.

This copy does look a bit rum, if you will excuse me for saying so, and there certainly were 'nuff Dutch counterfeits of deep soul 45s pressed for the Surinam soul collectors in the late 70s and early 80s (I've got a Bobby Harris on Turntable that counterfeits the original label but that looks like a late 70s press - and it;s on plastic, rather than styrene like the original was...)

Yellow label LPs denote Stereo pressings. The yellow label stereo press of "Soul Of A Bell" actually has alternate versions of "You Don't Miss Your Water" & "Any Other Way" which are different from the 45 & blue label mono LP. The jukebox EPs were stereo which is why they also have yellow labels.

just had a look at the record and the printing of the logo does seam to be rough could be just how they where printed say in Jamaica or its a snide one.

3rd reason could be its super rare and iam a millionaire
