Just think this a great site, and what a place to her some sounds, and use for a refferance. I for one can never rember songs and artists of the tunes I like and use the site to find them.

Just wondered who ran the site, So he/she may be congratulted for there sterling effort in bringing Northern soul music to the uneducated (me) and enlightiging me to some tunes I have never heard of or forgeten,

Yeah I had the same problem Ted. Got round it with Freecorder (downloaded from t'internet) basically it will record anything, but you have to get your levels right, ie not too much master etc and switch off all alert sounds also.

i dont seem to have stero mix and mono mix in the properties device tab and whilst i was able to record it i could not hear it any ideas do i need a sound card?

i got it to work eventually. recorded a track onto a cd and then played it on my stereo and it sounded awful to be honest. i chose a track that i thought sounded ok to begin with (edwin starr - running back & forth) but it still copied at low quality.

is there any way of improving?

see if that plays alright.........Funny , i can't remember this being a big soul sound..was it played at wigan in the Joe 90 era

When the clip from soulclub.org is low quality there's not much you can do. After all they are not ment to be played on home stereo systems, they're ment for crappy soundcards and pc-speakers.

Maybe they're just samples ?

Maybe due to legal reasons this guys wants to remain anon.

He's certainly not seeking attention.

We should respect that.
