Hi All Thats the way to get the answer all the right info I needed, there are some really good tunes by lee rogers, and most are relatively cheap to get, all have a good Detroit feel to them "Sock Some Love Power" is also my favored side, meant to put both sides up, recorded on wheelsvile D Town & wheelsvile away from our scene and he is not known at all,

For my two penneth worth, I thought the one trickbag posted is the original and the darker yellow ones with skewiff credits are boots?

Could be wrong but I was dubious when I received a darker yellow copy and credits were slightly off centre so I asked on here and someone mentioned it was a boot, having said that, Manship does NOT mention a bootleg in 'the book'.

Hi all

I have two copies of the issue copy of Lee Rogers on Premium Stuff #6 - Sock Some Love Power To Me/The Same Things That Make You Laugh (Make You Cry).

The first copy, which is a definite original, has a mid yellow label design and the dead wax markings #8-10 and #250 which are the master numbers as printed on the label and are heavily scratched in.

The second copy has a darker, old gold, yellow label (the print etc. is identical to the first copy) and the print looks a little 'sprayed on'. Unlike the first record described, the dead was is quite wide (about the same width as the grooves) with about 6 fairly close-together run off grooves. The vinyl is also pretty thin and is overall lighter in weight than the first disc. The dead wax markings on this second 45 are small and very lightly scratched in on the A side 8-10 340 83-2 and on the B side 250 83-1 340.

Whenever I have asked anyone they say this 45 wasn't booted, and Manship's guide does not list it. However, I think this is a boot.

Maybe a run of boots were done,as described by JM.Still...whoever nicked my copy out me play box wants fookn. I do hope it was the boot......but i'm sure it was'nt.

The pale yellow is the original the darker almost gold is a boot, I still have the original and used to have the boot sold it on 20 years ago (as a boot.)

Hi All the scan I posted, I had to play around with the color efex as the label has been defaced with a lot of WIGAN RULES Graffiti and so on if I repost it as it is you will see it is the same shade of yellow, I thought to see all the info was more important? but I can see where you are coming from, cheers DAVE
