Hello people on soul source,

first post and i need some help.

My copy of this record got some kind of pressing fault.

It's off center and so affecting play.

No matter where i place it, it is always some kind of audible.

Does someone know, if all copys have this fault?

A confirmation would be very helpful.

Thanks,

martn

I played mine a few days ago funnily enough, first time for ages and it's spot on, definitely not off centre.

...mine was for sale but i changed my mind after playing it again!

Thanks for the help and fixing the topic title.

I might pm you Benji.

I'd look into getting your money back before buying another copy...

My copy plays ok for what it's woth

I think off-center copies are usually one-off pressing errors. Are there entire runs of off-center records? like from a miscalibrated machine or something?

yes & yes & yes.

The point is some dodgy fecker sold him that knowing it was unplayable, I'd definitely get a refund.

It still sounds great, definitely aged well!

Why are these copies still in circulation?!

What's the current going rate for Image ?

And was it intially played back on the scene in the late 70's ? Or discovered much later ?

The current going rate for my mint copy which I have decided to sell again is £35 :)

No problem, not bothered if i sell or not! I'm still selling off all the stuff i've had for years, i'm not interested in having a massive collection and i hate the site of loads of records i'll never play again just taking up space, i've gone from horder to anti-clutter and i'm selling stuff off to fund other purchases...etc etc blah blah
