November 18, 200519 yr Perhaps it's just me you & Mace who think it's awesome took me nearly 2 years to find my copy! Hard one to pick up in any condition I think.
November 18, 200519 yr never heard that before, afaik really like it but then i'm a big fan of the walker brothers etc and this is in that vein. only buy US stuff so not for me as a purchase but a great beat ballad; not sure if it's really northern though, yet alone soul
November 18, 200519 yr nice record but not really soul is it ?any cover versions by black singers ? Neither was Lynne Randell and 100's of others
November 19, 200519 yr I've not heard this so I'll take the word of those who have and say it is good. But Craig Douglas was the epitome of a wimpy UK warbler who covered US hits badly, such as Only 16, 100 lbs Clay, Across The Street! Around The Corner & I'm On The Outside Looking In. He would have been more at home on the Woolworths label, Embassy.
November 19, 200519 yr I've not heard this so I'll take the word of those who have and say it is good. Hi, take a look at post # 5 in this thread, you can hear it there.
November 19, 200519 yr Cheers Mate. I'll do so in a minute, I'm just in the middle of listening to Bobby Thurston - Very Last Drop. NOTHING should interfere with that!
November 19, 200519 yr MMmmm not bad but average I think. His voice brought all those awful memories back. Sounds like a Jimmy Radcliffe song.
November 19, 200519 yr Bloody rare on Indian Stateside....and probably the thickest vinyl I've ever seen in my life. But hopefully not the thickest thing youv'e seen
