I prefer the Earl English & Apaches version on Six Toe. The guitar is cooler and less twangy and it just seems to have a more urgent quality about it. Although you haven't got the killer flip on that version and the audio cuts to one channel near the end where someone knocked a lead out in the recording studio apparently. Damn that cleaner!

Agree, but it seems like the Earl English is harder to get..and the flipside on Apaches is a bonus!

It's funny, the flip on the Earl English version is also fantastic, but it's a real oddball down tempo, hippy psyche, stoner of a tune. The Apaches flip is awesome, better than the other side IMHO.
