Debbie Taylor - I Don't Wanna Leave You / Just Don't Pay - Arista Acetate 12 "

Posted

Being a big fan of this lady's vocal talents it appears that appart from the 89 ' 12 " with Jeff Perry there is an acetate 12" of her Arista debut with a long / short version , anybody got one , verify ?

I have Debbie's Arista 45 on a Brazilian 7".

Brazilian 7" all play at 33 rpm -- hence they put out numerous EP's there to fill up the vinyl a bit more (a normal 1 track each side 7" has the dead wax much wider than the track part of the playing surface).

So these Brazilian EP's look just like US jukebox mini (7") LP's -- 4 tracks with a LP style picture cover. Lots of these 'additional' tracks are LP only in the US / UK.

Anyway, on the Brazilian copy, "Just Don't Pay" lasts 3 mins 10 secs while "I Don't Wanna Leave You" is the 5 min 30 secs version.

When you look at Debbie Taylor on Discogs and go into her release of " I Don't Wanna Leave You " three versions come up , one of which is on an acetate 12 " , but no further info . So I was wondering if this was or there is a longer version of " Just Don't Pay " . I have'nt heard the Shotgun imprint .
