Hi All,

A friend of mine does a local radio show (plays lots of soul/reggae stuff)

and he's doing a 1977 themed show.He's asked me to find out any sounds that were relative to this year...e.g....top sounds played at niters ,or were recorded that year..or even if any soul artists died that year.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes indeedee...the girly sound was in vogue.

Paula Durante, charity brown, Mary Saxton, Jeanette Harper, Marsha Gee, and even Peggy March.

Twas the sound that hooked a few.

Susan Coleman, Donna King, The Fabulettes, the list goes on and on.

Blanche Carter was my obvious favourite.

Not so many soul police back then..
