Well said Mr Pinches... its all about taste.. I do think some of what has been played on the Northern scene was failed 60's purile brit pop etc but then loads love it so ..hey if we all loved the same tracks we'd never get our hands on em :D

I like fall into my love and made it the metrodome chillout room anthem for 3 years and to quote a previous thread there are probably more copies in our good town of barnsley than anywhere else, 5 of us got the Groove groove melody 12 of one seller and cleared him out,

From what we gather as Dave pinches points out pressed in the UK as a CD promo for the italian market and then most ended up in japan with this one guy how and why... who knows.

Person i first heard it from was a barnsley lad Jez Wroe.. who heard it whilst stopping at his good buddy Paul Suttons in Brighton.. that was quite a few years ago.

Then Dave and Bri Pinches acquired pauls copy and it was the first one I'd ever seen and have to recall the night when Dave and Bri were DJaying the earl of doncaster Soul Sam was following them on and dave changed the tempo and soul genre of his set to ensure a nice flow into Sam's set and... of course last track Black box....great moment when sam looked at the decks his eyes went like saucers and said "f*ck me i didnt know it actually existed or was released on this label.....first refusal if you sell it" !! ... i was stood at the back of the stage and he leant over and side mouthed "bloody hell theyve got some bloody tunes these pinches boys" ..... first time id ever heard him swear LOL

Dave and Bri will bear me out on this bonefide moment

BTW mines up for sale

Limited copies were available in the UK, as "Fall Into My Love" featured in many house dee jays set during 1997. Played as a brand new release by Graeme Park, Danny Hussain and even Andy Ward ? back then.

Just another fine example of "later comers syndrome" !

Limited me arse Nick  - every bloody indie shop carried GGM releases - they were a big concern.

They are out there - it's the tracking 'em down.

As your post numbered 11 clearly indicated which is correct Barry. When I say "limited" I was being careful because I am sure 100% cert that "Fall Into My Love" was a big record in the summer of 1996 and then GGM released it to the public during 1997, thus making it's release date stamped. Maybe this title was limited by GGM, back then ?

Why no single day passes available for the SSW ?

Nick.

Hi ,

An interesting thing about this 12".
I found a grey copy from 1996 with the right mix of "Fall into my love". The label don't have bar codes on it , maybe a promotional copy??
Previously only I have seen red copies from 1997 , are these grey copies know??

Kind regards,
Ismael
