Posted in here as related to ebay, I got this message, but the link goes nowhere and I can't find out what the item was - thats if there ever was an item with that number - is this some kind of fake email do you think?

Hi,

I purchased an item from your ebay store but i can not proceed with the payment. It seams that listing has been removed. Can you check it out? Here is the auction link:

eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170671556256

Please let me know as soon as possibile.

Regards,

Roberto

the link isn't actually a link to ebay -- the text displays that way but the underlying link goes to some FTP site somewhere

Pete, clicking on bogus links like that can lead to all sorts of problems. It might be wise to remove it from the thread.

:hatsoff2: - Kev.

I filled it in with an Ebay name F@$k You and the password bastards and it let me into the account, if you have filled in your details correctly I would change them like yesterday. :(
