Hi everyone,

I'm reluctantly putting a large lot 45's up for grabs to pay for my dream instrument that's waiting for me.... a Hammond organ!

(She's currently residing in Liverpool and I'm desperate to get her A.S.A.P.)

Here are some rare and some not so rare tunes. All of which are great examples of 60's Detroit soul.

All I believe are on YouTube but Mp3's of all the advertised 45's are available on request if needed.

(I tried to upload them here but the total amount files to upload in one go is just to much for the post unfortunately.)

In total there is almost £850 worth of vinyl here and if anyone is interested taking the lot as A LOT then i'll do them for £700 £650 inc P&P

CHALFONTES - HE LOVES ME B/W CONFESSIN' MY LOVE FOR YOU (MERCURY) M- £100

Tough original Mercury 1st issue with original company sleeve. Top class tune and great flip side too.

You just don't see these around like this now. Always seem to be battered whenever I have rarely come across one anyway!

DEON JACKSON - YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME b/w LOVE MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND (CARLA) VG+ £10

2 Amazing 60's Detroit sides from the wonderful Deon Jackson. Every soul fan should have a copy.

JUANITA WILLIAMS - BABY BOY (GOLDEN WORLD - PROMO) Ex £30

Rare WLP of this cracking early 60's Detroit dancer. Tiny label tear on edge. No WOL / D/H etc.

SPYDER TURNER - I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE b/w DON'T STOP NOW (MGM) Ex £20

Absolute classic. Should be known by all and backed with the fantastic uptempo flip also recorded by the Monticellos.

Nice all round clean copy.

MAGIC TONES - IT'S BETTER TO LOVE b/w WE SHALL OVERCOME (MAHS) Ex £10

Great little 2-sider of group soul. Well worth spinning.

LORRAINE CHANDLER - WHAT CAN I DO b/w TELL ME YOUR MINE (GIANT) Ex £200

Monster 60's Detroit 2-sider!

Original 1st issue prior to the RCA release. Superb all round clean copy (Rare in itself to find such a clean copy).

MARTHA & THE VANDELLAS - IN AND OUT OF MY LIFE (GORDY) VG+ £10

Despite this group being a huge part of the Motown sound this appears to be a little know cut but Martha and the girls.

Great mid-tempo tune with full on production (as you would expect!).

PARLIAMENTS - LOOK AT WHAT I ALMOST MISSED (REVILOT) M- £15

Quality group soul version and IMO the best from George Clinton and the boys. Nice clean copy.

FALCONS - (I'M A FOOL) I MUST LOVE YOU (BIG WHEEL) VG+ £30

Superb! Group soul at it's best. Name obscured by biro block on label (see pic). Plays loud and clear!

SUPERLATIVES - LONELY IN A CROWD b/w DON'T WALK AWAY (WESTBOUND) Ex £15

Great 2-sider with the much liked group soul version of Carl Carltons ..."Don't Walk Away" included.

CAVALIERS - I REALLY LOVE YOU (RCA - PROMO) Ex £70

Quality group. Quality tune. Hard to go wrong with this groups 60's output. Very nice and very clean RCA WLP.

RONNIE WALKER - IT'S A GOOD FEELIN' (ABC) VG+ £10

Super uptempo 'feel good' dancer. Only a cheapy but seriously better than some mega dosh tunes out there!

REFLECTIONS - YOU'RE MY BABY (AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT) (GOLDEN WORLD) Ex £10

Great blue-eyed group soul dancer that seems widely overlooked. Great clean issue copy.

JOE - L (I'M NOT GONNA BE) WORRIED (CLISSAC) Ex £30

Great, great tune I remember filling the floor at the Dome and several other venues about 8 years ago. Still sounds brilliant now.

EDWIN STARR - HEADLINE NEWS b/w HARLEM (RIC-TIC) Ex+ £10

Absolute classic 60's 2-sider. Lovely clean copy rarely seen now.

STEVIE WONDER - HEY LOVE (TAMLA) VG+ £15

Georgeous mid-tempo mover from Stevie. Superb 'chill out' Motown tune.

LOUIS CURRY - I'LL TRY AGAIN TOMORROW b/w A TOAST TO YOU (M-S) Ex £25

Two brill sides from Louis Curry. Juke Box numbers written in biro both sides. Plays loud and clear.

SAN REMO GOLDEN STRINGS - I'M SATISFIED (RIC-TIC) Ex £10

Classy and classic Detroit instrumental. Nice overall clean copy and plays loud and clear.

BOBBY TAYLOR - OH, I'VE BEEN BLESSED (VIP) Ex £40

Quality Motown dancer and loved by everyone. What a voice! D/H in label (See pic).

EDDIE HOLLAND - LEAVING HERE (MOTOWN) VG+ £25

Storming tune from the famed writer, producer and arranger at Hitsville. Terrific early Motown!

MARVELETTES - GODDESS OF LOVE (TAMLA) VG £10

Fairly unknown cut by the Marvelettes on the original Tamla 1st issue.

FRANCES NERO - KEEP ON LOVIN' ME (SOUL - PROMO) Ex £150

Awesome 60's Detroit soul. Lovely WLP copy in super all round condition.
