Hi all,

I am looking for a clean copy of this 45, will consider the second issue as a stop gap until I find a copy of the original. I will pay via PayPal only as a gift.

PM me any offers. Thanks for looking.

I have one of these, always assumed it to be a boot / counterfeit, but now confused. It ihas the brighter green label, as opposed to the darker Sherwood green of the original, but it seems to have the small M2c (or something, tough to read even with a magnifying glass) stamp in the deadwax, as suggested by Manship's and T. Brown's price guide books, signifying an original copy. Any ideas or suggestions, anyone ? Thanks, Jez.

Jez, I believe the lighter green one is the original 1st issue and the darker green one is the 2nd issue. Check popsike for photos.

If that is right, my copy is the lighter, brighter, green, and would seem to be the real deal with the small M2c (or something) stamp in the deadwax.

Maybe the record number scratched in the deadwax is a giveaway, the darker green one has 5544 as opposed to 5444 printed on label.

Well thanks for that, even more confusion, the Destination Unknown side has 5444 in deadwax, the flip side ' Crying in my sleep ' has 5544 in the dead wax !!

I gave up and sent it straight to John Manship, it's a very confusing issue unless you have them both in front of you.

Hill............I would say that you have a first press

Delreys inc. on Tampete ............Think I will offer it on here as a mini auction, as several people have expressed an interest in buying it. Sounds like it's the proper 1st one, with 5444 in top side deadwax, and 5544 in flip side deadwax, very shiny, clean condtion, plays excellent. Best offer by end of day, Thursday 3rd Jan will secure. UK bidders only, add £4.50 to send insured. (Paypal as a gift). Thanks, Jez.

Of the old topic above I would agree with Mel Bratt that the record was not that well known for it to be booted, I think the second darker green is a repress not long after original pressing.

Could be wrong but both sound the same
