We dont normally get these licensing issues here in Northants and with your existing doo at this venue not being affected we can only assume that it was sabotaged by someone raising some kind of objection with the licensing committee.

 

Funny, perhaps Im odd, but Iv always thought it was about the music not the ego of a wannabee!!!!

 

As you say Len, we still have the soul nights.

Dont suppose we will ever get to the bottom of it, certainly not the Bowls Club themselves, as they are a great bunch to work with (very accomodating) and the truth is it was them who approached me ref. doing the Alldayer in the first place. So they are equally as dissapionted.

I have taken the advice of a long standing and respected promoter mutually known to ourselves and along with Len and all the other Soul in the Bowl supporters " I am gonna rise above it" and focus on the nights we have to look forward to.

Kimbo, for us it really is about the music, and meeting up with good friends, for some people the music allows them to have there five minutes of fame, we all know who these people are, locally thankfully its only the odd one or two.

I just wanted to categorically state, that no other promoter had anything to with this local or otherwise. In fact I’ve had contact from most, saying what a shame it was.
