I PM'd the chap and told him I thought the Velours was a boot....the MGM on the record in the Lion's hand is a 'blob' on the boot. You can make out the letters on the original.....there are also marks in the deadwax etc......I've had both so it's one of those rare moments when I think I know what I'm talking about....LOL!!!

 

.....I have the black issue now...so no argument...and that IS rare!!!!!

He got back to me and is pulling the high keys i also told him about this thread. sounded like was genuine but not enough knowledge

I agree...came across as a decent chap.

Makes a change - they usually tell you to f*ck off and mind your own business, however helpful you're trying to be.

Which is when I report them.
