It is definitely Jimi Hendrix, performing with Buddy & Stacey.

I prefer the guy that kicks in at 29 mins 15 secs ........  You made em laugh and left them feelin glad, You made em cry and you left them feelin sad ......... go on with the show ...

that is a later episode of night train than the one I have on a DVD, which is interesting because you can see the transition to The !!! Beat. Night Train always had cool local nashville groups but they would be doing covers of national hits instead of their own, released records. The one I have is super boring because each group is completely statically framed in darkness. This one is much more exciting and less subdued. Still has covers though.
