Posted July 21, 201311 yr Just heard the Ikea advert featuring the song 'One room paradise' anybody else heard it? Anybody know who's singing it?
July 21, 201311 yr Yeah, i got that. Ikea is like going to see Blackpool lights, once they got you in, no turning back, you got to Keep On Going like Gary Haines, no escape, until you come out the other side, then you are free again. Edited July 21, 201311 yr by MrsWoodsrules
July 21, 201311 yr Elayna Boynton. I prefer Aretha Franklin's (original?) version. Think there was a thread on this during the last couple of weeks. - Kev
July 22, 201311 yr Margie Hendrix is (for me) the best I've heard, just got a lot more bollox about it
July 22, 201311 yr Margie Hendrix is just gutsy and brilliant - I do quite like the Raelettes version too (and it's cheaper!)
July 22, 201311 yr Raelettes is best...the others are just versions...... .... it's that sort of uptown noise that used to make me run to the dancefloor and try to make myself fall over....... still not a stale sound even now. by the way, does anyone else find the visuals to the Ikea ad freaky? The sizes of the "dolls heads" had me do a double take...odd in the way that the "bingo ball head" advert is..........
July 22, 201311 yr I may be wrong but I was always under the impression that Margie Hendrix was a member of the Raelettes. (is it her singing both versions). Brilliant tune whichever version you listen too. Andy Edited July 22, 201311 yr by soul in the shed
