For decades I have been trying to work out what the kids are saying before the school bell at the start of Ronnie McNeir's  'Sitting In My Class'...

Any ideas?

'What did I pay for this for?' Seems to be the last bit....

'you arent down for that thing' then 'what do I pay for that spot' could of been a board game maybe be like ' what do I pay for old kent rd' long shot but its hard to hear that single voice clearly.

Tried headphones.. The middle bit sounds like 'See that one? See that one? ....Right?'' Then 'What did I pay for this for?' (or maybe '...pay for this one'..?)

Multiple spin backs. Sounds like

'You were number four..'

'See that one? See that one?'

'Right'

'How much did I pay for this four?'

Yes. Sounds like a game.

thought it said "you ought to stay out one night" but i might be deaf from dancing too close to the speakers.

I always thought it was somebody saying " sit down boy"
