First time I've ever had a copy of this one, does anyone have any info on this 45.

 

Not the greatest recording, sounds like it could have been recorded in someones shed.

 

Still a pretty good tune though

Hi Darren, Played it to Helen Last night she thought it was recorded live in the deep end!!   That's swimmin' for ya!

pretty rare, the ballad side (also super low-fi) is the side for me. There was a spike in value maybe 4-5 years ago when people on funk forums were talking about it.

Is this a late 70s recording - I noticed it looks like the label address "tampered with" by a paper clip.

I have it as 1977, don't remember what that came from.

 

Either way, it's so ghetto it sounds earlier.

Thanks chaps I thought it sounds a lot earlier than 77 Bob although that could just be down to sound quality I suppose.

Darren your photo shows label address scratched out - this was something Soul Bowl did in the early 80s….
