There seems to be a suddeen flurry of pink label 'Soozi ' copies of velvet hammer - Happy, coming up for sale since it was used in the viral video with the girl dancing to the new 'Pharrell Williams track and then the Velvet hammer track of the same name. Are these legit?
Also the copies that are surfacing are in mint condition? seems a bit sus to me!

Lafayette in Wolverhampton played this at least a week before the casino via soul Sam as it was getting noticed in Telford and Wolverhampton

Remember it well Tim - I remember swapping a really nice DJ record box for a cassette of about 12 top sounds with two guys from telford who used to go the Laf (one was called Span I think)

Pep used to sell copies at the Laff, remember Crispi buying one for a fiver - he was real chuffed!

Soul bowl sold the pink ones

What I remember is that the multi colour copies were around and then all of a sudden soul bowl had loads of (brand new) copies of the plain colour label at a much reduced price.  I remember these all had crackle over the intro, obviously a pressing fault.

At about the same time (about 1980/81?) there were some other (what was then considered) "modern" 45s which suddenly appeared in quantity at much reduced prices, and I've always suspected that these had been newly pressed up.  As some of these are still circulating for big money, best to let sleeping dogs lie in my opinion.

This is exactly how I remember it.

Bit late to this but no-one mentions the dark blue/silver script Suomi label issue that I got from S Bowl. I know I had it, sold it to Rob Wigley in 93 "I think
