Is the Cotillion release the same recording as the one on Gator?

I assume the Gator release is the rarer local first issue, what sort of price do the 2 releases go for?

thanks

Gator is the rarer of the two had the cotillion one but was very lo-fi recording

Thanks Grant, just had a look through some old threads and looks like gator release is around £100

Probably about right that, sold my cotillion copy few years back for around £50

Both lo-fi, no discernable difference between them (as far as I could tell). Gator is genuinely tricky to find and prices do vary wildly for both labels.

Gator is rarer and never had one in hands to compare the sound quality with my Cotillon copy. In my experience some Atlantic and Co. pick-up release did suffer some remastering to produce a "muffle" or "homogenized" sound. Cliff Nobles "my love is getting stronger" didn't suffer that though.

The you tube post of the Gator release sounds pretty clear, love the horns on this

My Gator copy plays loud and clear. I think I paid £60 about 3 or 4 years ago.
