We know know it's true; it ain't proper Northern soul without a killer sax solo. 10 seconds of musical heaven to take the dancing up a notch and cue the spins, backdrops and Bruce Lee kicks!  So what's your favourite?  Which one still gives you chills?

 

And, it's not like I'm the Lord of the Thread or anything, but it would be great if you could post with clips and time-codes because it makes threads like this x times more interesting - agree?

Modern soul 45, Ron Furr - Hold Her.  I've posted this 45 on other threads in the past but no apologies as the sax in this is great.  Starts at 2:13 but I'd urge listening to the complete record, you can admire the bass playing while you wait, as the solo sounds so much better with the song building up to it......if that makes sense.  Note, it's a quite recording so maybe up the volume a bit.
