What does the stamped 225 on some of them denote?

I have one stamp 235 on one side and 230 on the other.

Just checked the U.S. original, I think its the playing time.

Never really thought about it before.

I'll have to check but I think I have a few, all with 225 stamped on them. Surely they all can't be 2.25 minutes long  :g:

They don't all have 225 stamped on them for Gods sake, just do a picture search for yellow London demos and you'll see all different times.

yep all decca labels.. brunswick,vocalion, coral... all have the time stamps on

if it was 400 seconds that would be over six minutes long
