time ro get the piggy banks raided. Larry Clinton "She's Wanted" for sale on EBay. But, it is the ridiculously rare STOCK COPY!

John Manship sold one a while back. Only ever one before on eBay in 2010 which sold for $6,760. My guess is this one could reach $10,000.

Exactly. When JM or Tim Brown give a description along the lines of "EX but plays ok", I'm always amused by the difference in grading standards/practice among some of the established dealers.

Yeah ... Could be possible. But this guy (funkyousounds) is smashing. Listed a nice Vg plus of Bobby Kline aswell. Does anyone got some Infoseek about him? He always listed mega rare stuff concerning brilliant soul 45s. Don't forget the nice auctions of LPs, 78s of nearly every genre. Is it the same guy, who create the funkyou auctions?

But sometimes it seems to me that it is nice-overpriced ... Some bad scuffed recs reaching high prices aswell

Overpriced? Hard to blame the seller for auction prices achieved. Funkyou/Funkyousounds has done a good job building up a reputation as a reliable seller, with strict grading (a Funkyou VG is comparable to many UK sellers' VG++ or EX in my experience).

thats not what i mean. My opinion is, that there a gone records in a VG or lesser condition for big prices than somewhere else. Its more up to desperate bidders than the seller. Can´t compare FY and UK so your opinion is exclusively but thx for your note.

Well done that seller, just shows that by trawling all the likely (and some unlikely) places in the US there's still stuff out there. I know one sold last year, an Australian seller, through JM I seem to remember.

It's hard to believe that these things aren't out there isn't it?..........

That one was the one that was on ebay twomor three years ago.  The buyer then sold it via JM auction.  The Winner of that auction then resold it later via JM.

This finished at $7877

when i was buying a lot this guy was a favourite seller ,always interesting and varied listings, off the radar and htf stuff always for sale..for example...the mamie perry he has on at the moment ,a great hard to find R&b tune, ez

What  you have to remember is the seller  : Jason Koening ( St . Louis based ) has an army of full time buyers going round the USA systematically dropping off his business cards : we buy old records - so has peeps scouring daily for him ..hence the turn up of top quality items.....He has the game sewn up these days ...rumour has it he also sells on commission for top dealers   . Would probably explain his 2 Ebay I D ' s     -  funkyou , and funkyousounds   .  Not easy to get two separate Ebay handles either ???.

I do hope he found it in a mom  pop junkshop or flea market, in any case well done, another one saved from the scrap.
