It’s fair to say that as members of the rare soul scene - rare generally means expensive comparatively speaking and you know we all love playing them rare bits n bats - so just out of idle curiosity what was the cheapest record you regularly DJ’d with in 2016 that gave you a warm inner glow as people obviously went for it.

When I say cheapest - it wasn’t aired to prove a point as such - but simply because it’s such a great sound everybody can afford. A tenner can still get you a copy today.

Betty Harris “I’m Evil Tonight” (Sansu) played most recently in the second room at Calverley. Next Crossover one Friday 6th January 2017.

Think Betty is also doing a live show at The Band On The Wall in Manchester in the next few months.

That 'bed of roses' is great !

Four Tops - Almost Drive Me Out Of My Mind.

Cost me me a quid the same morning a pretty good DJ played it at Cleethorpes. Sounds a million dollars. Every time.

Hiya, blimey I paid nearly double for mine £1.75  and got one for a mate recently and that had shot up to three quid. One I played again a fair few times on Sundays was ' Michael Jackson-  we're almost there'  cost pence, must be over a quid by now, lovely record though,  cheers

How about the one that I found lying around somewhere? Free! Not saying what it was in case the true owner still wants to claim it.

Or the cheapest I actually paid for, Call Me by Lulu, 25p from Sue Ryder charity shop.
