Hi!

I'm looking for some more informations on this tune besides the standard ones on 45cat and stuff like that. This is the B side of the issue 45rpm with "Scandal in bedrock" (and is also featured on the lp "Stay a while with me"). Is it this single particularly rare? What's its goin' rate? Is it a edit cut? (saw a clip on youtube that plays the long album version, me think, 'cause on the label it's signed a 3 minutes length). Thank you

Hi,

As Pete points out there is lots of info in the threads he mentions, however to save time here is a summary.

The tune was issued on the Sussex album "Stay a While With Me" and as a single, the b side to "Scandal in Bedrock"

The album version is slightly longer than the 45.

There is a dodgy unlabeled 45 in existence which plays the Album version, many will claim this is a test pressing but I'm of the opinion that its a boot.

The single is essentially not that rare but its a keeper and as such doesn't appear for sale that often.I guess in todays market with the demand it would sell easily at around £100, although I'm sure many will claim its a £20 record.

Very scarce on a 45 I've seen a few DJs play the album out (it is a longer cut 4:48 and does go on a bIt)

Just three 45 on Popsike. The last went like four years ago and sold for £170

Wow !!!

But I wouldn't sell it, even if you put a nought on the end of that, actually thinking a bout it for a nano second I would (lol)

It's a great record and is a difficult one on the 45. I personally think they would sell all day at £200.

I have one of the dodgy debatable boots!

:D

Pete

have the 45 --- will play it at next dab of soul ----- rate it at min £200

never had a spare in 30 years of selling

though i havnt known it that long :)

Yeah. Great tune. Not one for the stompers lover, but that's really my cup of tea. Album's got also a really nice cover...

I love the extended version of Where Does That Leave Me? she does on the LP. Great Van McCoy arrangement of course and one to sit back and enjoy on the headphones. Single of WDTLM is very rare though sometimes it slips through on ebay when the US sellers list the A side only:shhh:

Sorry, WDYLTML rather than WDTLM on last post
