Betty Harris at the 100 club

Great to see Betty Harris at the 100 club .She started off a little sluggishly with Mean Man but soon picked it up with great renditions of many classics and could still bang a tune out for sure .She's appearing in Manchester tonight and you never know it might be the last chance to see a truly great artist in th UK  .What a great time we had listening to great music and  meeting up with old friends and making a few new ones .What a great venue .

I'll be there in Manchester.  They are a bit strict about photographing so not sure what I can get.  Looking forward to it though.

She was signing a few records and it was no bother taking pics at the 100 club .Although I only took a couple and they weren't too good .Love your Stafford scribing Chalky!

Think Band On The Wall are a bit stricter, I had to get permission to take my camera in and can't use flash and can only take photos for first three songs :g: Might just video form back.  Either way I can't wait to see her after seeing some photos etc from last night.  If 100 was tonight I'd have come down but no holidays left :(

Yes great gig last night. Much better than expected. My favourite was, RIde Your Pony, complete with formation dancing!

Great show at the 100 Club last night. I wasn't sure what to expect from her varied repertoire, but Ride Your Pony, Trouble With My Lover, and 12 Red Roses amongst others certainly hit the spot for me.

I was first in line for autographs and Betty signed a poster and a 10 x 8 photo for me - but begrudgingly,  as she appeared under pressure from her entourage who were continuously demanding that she was only signing the sales stuff on the adjacent table. I thought that was unnecessary and a great pity.

Still struggling with the settings on the new camera and then got a telling off for taking photos by the management :lol:

They blamed it on the promoters after previous acts complained.  All they had to do was ask the promoter if it was ok and there wouldn't have been a problem.
