The ECC 45 is a homage to contemporary funk groups of the time by referring to them by name and using snippets of their hits/style.

Hence " Blow..." .

Think The Soul Searchers came first but will have to check that.

The Soul Searchers later became Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers with much "Go Go " fame of course
