November 14, 200618 yr A blinding record, i have a red stock/issue Pete otherwise i would have snapped this up mate...a bargain for what can only be described as a wonderful double header......yes turn the record over...awesome...orgasmic infact...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
November 14, 200618 yr Audio sample Thanks for that Pete, i knew the track as soon as i heard it but didn't realise who did it. Absolutely lovely record, very subtle, nice touches & luvurly chime bells! Only problem is it's the sort of record that you play & two people dance to it & you have to follow it up with yer 50 pence version of the Contours 'Just a little misunderstanding' or sommat. There 's a lot of these lovely connoiseury type tunes out there but unfortunataely they don't seem to set the dancefloor alight, if i was a collector though i would bite your hand off for it! Simon

Simon Girl's blouse! Exactly the sort of record I buy for my collection. To hell with everyone elses' lack of taste (I wouldn't play it out probably though). Is this the one I didn't win off ebay Pete? I may be interested. Been after a clean one of this for quite a while.

November 14, 200618 yr In a nutshell exactly what's wrong with NS!! On the odd occasion I play out I have no hesitation spinning this, and then maybe the Bootleggers and Helen Moore. As Mark said it's a fantastic Chicago double-sider by Burgess Gardner who can do no wrong in my book. ROD
November 14, 200618 yr Author Sold now, thanks very much for the interest, but why on earth didn't anyone buy it yesterday when it was on the list??? Beats me..

ROD Fair play Rod but imo it's too slow, hardly gonna set the dancefloor alight now that Calvin Grayson tune, that's a real fresh NS stormer, play that & i'll be on the dancefloor quicker than you can say... Simon

Simon You are exactly right, Simon. Im bemoaning the fact that there ought to be a place for those dreamy midtempo tunes that may be staple fare to a lot of us but perhaps deserved to be heard loud in the odd main room. November 15, 200618 yr Ive got a Vg+ red issue plays great just a few marks 100 pounds if anyone want it???
November 16, 200618 yr G*d, I haven't heard this 'played out' since Shotts!! I've got a kn*ckered old tape of a Robin Salter radio programme with it on somewhere ...At the time, I remember forcing any co-workers with the mis-fortune to be on the same shift as me, to listen to the show (as a trade-in for me watching 'Only Fools'....they definitely got the better deal). Love it, although the singer's vocal performance is almost as poor as Joe E. Lewis's after the Mob finished with him. Edited November 16, 200618 yr by mrs norman maine

Simon I LIKE IT!!! I've known 'Good luck my love' for years and have heard the B'side played out recently, but never realised it was the B side. Definately got that James Bond kinda thing going on!! Nearly bought it for 'Good luck my love' a couple of years ago at Cleethorpes. If I'd have known this was on the b side I would have
November 20, 200618 yr I have played The Tears out a couple of times but when I'm at home it always has to give way to Linda Cumbo - Yesterday, Today and Tommorrow which is one of the wifes favourite records. The Tears gets loads of mentions but have never seen Linda Cumbo on Soul sauce thread as far as I can remember. Mark
