  • Good point Macca. Then all the "knockers" and "haters" can tell her to her face.

  • I'm sure she's a lovely person. Doesn't mean that she recorded a great record, didn't do much. If it was in large numbers I doubt it would get a play anywhere.

  • As stated in the 2010 thread, it was definitely produced and recorded in Detroit(in 1967, I believe), by Popcorn Wylie. The "Gene" involved (Margaret's "discoverer" and manager) was said

it wish folk wouldnt say ` the floor was heaving`...at some venues if you played the hokey cokey the floor would be heaving. ive heard that this actually happened..now where was it :g:

I used to go to a venue (when I were a kid like) where the floor did actually "heave", it was wooden and used to bend and if you weren't

careful you'd get catapulted upwards............

Just my opinion, but I think its tripe, wouldn't give you 2 bob for it ,heard cats at night sounding better

I'll remember not to use the expression again, Dave.

I'll just say that the 'floor reaction' was considerable.

brad hales sold a chipped copy recently..now he`s selling a cracked copy....wonder if he`s upgraded again

chipped, cracked, g+ condition...my good god! I think I will better settle with a 5 gbp copy of Kim Weston "Helpless" in excellent condition in the meantime. I mean its even a better tune.

I can't say I am or not, on the contrary..............

Margaret Little has a phenomonal backing track, unbelievable that it stayed unknown to the majority for so long. It's a classic northern backing - I don't think anyone could deny that. I do have issues with Margaret's singing though. When I listen to it, out and about, I'm hit by this initial wall of fantastic Northern, but in parts her voice kills it for me. Another tune that does this to me is "Joanne Touchstone" great backing, full of promise, then she kinda spoils it for me!! Sorry Margaret, sorry Joanne.
