As much as we would not wish to barge in on any negotiations that Ady may be holding with the new owners, It occurred to us that a campaign of letter writing to the new Bod running the 100 Club might carry some weight in his thoughts on the demise of the 6t's all-niters at the venue?
This scene is fab when it coms to rallying behind a good cause and we reckon that within a week or so, they could see literally 000's of letters on the door mat from people who have visited the 100 Club niters (even if they haven't been for years) asking them to reconsider. By the time the grapevine has spread from just this one forum, there could be a deluge of mail for them to think about.
To each of us, individually, it would involve the time to write a simple letter, and the cost of an envelope and a stamp - surely it's worth a try?
If nothing else it would be a way of everyone hanging up their differences (be they musical, personal or political) and demonstrating our shared passion of one thing - our love of Soul music and one of it's spiritual homes for the last 27 years.
Any thoughts / ideas / rotten fruit?
(Ady - if you HATE this idea I'm sure you'll let us know)
