New book seeking to tell story of Northern Soul venue in Wigan

A DJ is writing about the place where he spent several years spinning the decks.

Steve Whittle is penning the volume telling the story of soul at Mr M’s, a room at Wigan Casino which gained its own identity and loyal fanbase.

Pre Ordered mine back in June, I think it was  , just waiting on release and delivery then will see my old mate Mr Whittle to sign it with a no doubt derogatory remark for me. 😁👍. Can't wait to read it and relive the memories from the greatest time of my life.  

I never felt the 'love' when walking into M's like I did being in the big room. This would have been onwards from 75/76, and i have heard plenty of people say just about the same......like ice pick eyes turning towards the door as you entered. Must have been great for those in the click. I always needed a cup of orange squash and a bowl of jelly to calm my overdriven heartbeat after the couple of times I ventured inside.
