Apart from the obvious general answers...why do some sellers (UK to UK) ask for B/transfer on records under £300. 

It’s a genuine question, not a moan.

    I was scammed on PayPal, so I use bank transfer it's easier for me

It is an easy way to pay for something that does not cost the buyer or seller anything. 

The problem I can see is, if you are not happy with what you have bought, you can't get your money back. Unless your bank will step in!

ah...get it.  i guess these transfers are simple clicks via Internet banking then?( i don't do internet banking)

bank transfer is quick and easy to learn..just as easy as using paypal. i ask for bank transfer first as i hate paypal.. they are just parasites at the end of the day but will use it if pushed

What do you mean scammed on PayPal? Excessive fees?
