this is still ongoing

putting a temporary solution together for now

 

ok trying this out a log to try and keep all members better informed on the admin and moderation side of Soul Source including minor changes etc to features, moderation and so on

Changes to Structure

We did have different news sections for releases to allow members to easily let us know when their projects hit pre-order and then later the actual release stage

This didn't really work out that well

So going forward will just merge the two below sections containing items (200+)

Latest Soul releases (available right now)

A main effort the last week or so has been revamping our video  feature

still ongoing...

video feature improvements

the software we have used for last 10+ years for this feature has had to be replaced

all video info has been transferred across and all data has been cleaned up such as titles, dead videos etc etc

the old feature has now been removed and the new one can now be viewed below

a news item will announce once all work complete

 

Event Reviews

A major part of our Event Guide are event reviews, as in where members lets us know their 'take' on the event

As there is a bit of disconnect between the forums and the event guides we are trialling out a new 'announcement' method

When a review is posted in our event guide it will get automatically be posted as an 'announcement topic' (eg it be  a locked topic@  in our playlist forum

this is now in place and you can see how it works via the below

After your post I checked and realised that the release was not new it was 2 years old, so I posted up that had made a mistake and would remove it shortly, which did about 30-45 minutes later

Not correct. They came out on the same 45 in Germany.

Is there an issue with the events map? When I'm looking for local events it keeps pinning me in Ipswich!?  Don't seem able to sort it regardless of which search area I add. 

 

Anyone else finding the same?

had a look at all seems ok from this end

the city and range are cookie based, so if its saying ipswich all the time for you it may be related to that

so try deleting the sites cookies to clear?

 

Hi Mike,

having a slight site issue, after going through a few sales (say 5 pages on the site) I get this message, and then I can't get back onto the site. If I shut down safari and restart it seems to resolve it. Its probably at my end but has anyone else noticed this lately?

have had a dig on that error but can't find any obvious cause apart from the basic advice below

ta Mike, thought it would be at my end, theres an update that ive not done yet so maybe that will fix it...strangely only seems to happen with the sales forum...maybe its a message to not buy any records...
