Ok its that time again...

once every 5 or so years we do have to do a serious upgrade to the site system software

Due to the nature of the upgrade and the custom side of the main  site features  along with the amount and the age of the content on here it can be just a bit problematic.

Plan is to start it all next Monday Night 12th May 2025. Once the upgrade has been carried out , there may be a lot of work afterwards to get the main features back up and running as you are used to, so 

Anyway ideally the total process will take no more than 3 days ,The site should be available but as said some main features may be lacking or indeed absent for a short time

Just letting ya know in advance, all happening next week

It's bizarre as it only happens on my iPad.

I'm on my phone right now and everything's fine.

It's not the end of the world as can access wants on here.

nothing this end, and have tested with ipad running safari (18.5 version)

can you update safari, if not maybe use a more uptodate browser?

an updated 'feedback' app version has just been uploaded

no major changes on the front end

all seems solid and so its status has moved from a trial/demo run out to being a now more solid beta version

Hi Mike

Just noticed the previous problem I had with the unreadavle thin light text on a white background when using Firefox with Win7 has been resolved. Text is now nice and dark as before, so thank you for sorting that out.

unfortunately can't really say for definite the what or how it was resolved, as can only focus on current browsers and os's

ok, that's the last major outstanding task now completed, the rebuild of the events weekly map view which is now back up and running

this should now herald a more solid period on here tech wise

Info for anyone interested, everything on here, Soul Source had to be reset to a vanila state and then all our custom/bespoke features had to be rebuilt/re-coded and then re-applied whilst keeping the site up and running solid through out.

All features (less the member map feature which has been sacked) are now back up and running, all should be improved and overall the site should now be in a much better place, thats performance and feature wise and also importantly security wise and overall I say we are in good shape for the next 5 or so years....
