May 14, 200718 yr Teddy did some great stuff mate. Somebody Told Me, The Whole Town is Laughing etc........ Yeah, Peter... In fact I choosed "And If I haved" and could have said "the whole selftitled Teddy pendergrass LP". Practically all the tracks have an high level of melancoly (except "I Don't Love You Anymore" and "More I Get More I Want"). Sadly, this was diminished in the folowing albums, where only "Cold Cold World" (from "Life I A Song...") or "My Great Inspiration" (from the "It's Time For Love" set), admits, IMHO, a comparison in the mellow high level. Some others: "Blue Star" - The Blue Notes (re-edited by Collectables and originally not sure if it was an Hartoon 45, ?) "Love Beams" - Lonnie Liston Smith "What The World's Coming To" - Dexter Wansel (PIR); (the blend of the sound by sea's waves and children laughing make me feel a strange sweet melancoly... Like in the L. Ritchie's cover by Jerry Butler on "This Is Yor Life"!) "Deep Water" - Incognito feat. Maysa Leak (Talkin' Loud) "Marrakesh" - Incognito feat. Maysa Leak (Talkin' Loud) "Summer Samba" - Walter Wonderley (Verve); (I don't know the reason why, but ALL the brazilian music transmit to me mellow feelings, despite the fact that can to be a joyful tune!)

May 15, 200718 yr " Woman of Ireland" Bob James, a haunting masterpiece. Played at my Mum's funeral as she went through the curtain. Also, Gene Townsell's "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast" superb album. Cheers D'Arcy Wow, D'Arcy! How I can have forget this great mellow one! The "One", "Two" and "Three" albums by Bob James includes great gems. Another mellow one is his cover of Sylistic's "You're Right As Rain"! And another instrumental very good is a medley by CTI All-Stras live (Vol. 2) featuring Bob james among others. In the midley (B side), there is a fantastic and mellow flute by Freddie Hubbard (Pavane - central theme of "El Padrino"). Some other instrumentals very mellow: -"Tears In The Morning" - MFSB feat. Dexter Wansel -"Thank You Miss Scott" - MFSB (beautiful solo flute by jack Faith!)
