April 16, 200718 yr I don't know if it was played first at Wigan, but definitely "I'll Be Around" - Doug Parkinson came into its own as an anthem at The Cavendish Suite,Old Vic Hotel, Wolverhampton...what a venue that was! Other big records there KEEP THE FIRE BURNING - GWEN McCRAE DANCING A HOLE IN THE WORLD - JIMMY DELPHS PLEASE DON'T GO - WILLIE TEE YOU'VE GOT ME HUNG UP - KING TUTT IT TAKES HEART - GREG PERRY Along with The Professionals of course but I don't like to mention that as I sold my copy on one of the last nights there for £55...what a cock up that was! I wrote an article for The Face at the time in which The Old Vic was profiled....it really was a great Soul Night, right place right time and the DJ's complemented each other well. Neil
